Mariela Nacheva holds a master's degree in finance from the UNWE – Sofia. In 2007, she completed a specialization in the field of „Global Management and Leadership“ at Tokay University and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University in Japan. Since 2008, she has worked in the private sector in the field of „Environmental Protection“. She has participated in various functions in the preparation, management, and implementation of a number of environmental projects in the „Water“ and „Waste“ sectors, funded by EU and other donor programs.
In 2017, he took the position of Deputy Minister of the Environment and Water in the caretaker government with Prime Minister Prof. Ognian Gerdzhikov.
Mariela Nacheva is well acquainted with the European and Bulgarian legislation regarding the spending of funds from the European Structural and Investment Funds, including the ZOP, ZUSESIF and PMS No. 160/01.07.2016. She has experience in drafting and evaluating documents related to the conduct of public procurement procedures. She has participated in a number of committees evaluating tender proposals. * Preparation of “Costs – Benefits” analyses and business planning for projects related to environmental protection and the implementation of the principles of the circular economy.
