Potential recipients include municipalities, public organizations, enterprises, educational and healthcare institutions, and non-profit organizations.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On September 17, 2026. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fmfib.bg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b>The Fund of Funds<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> signed the operational agreements with the selected ones<\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fininfo.bg\/en\/dictionary\/finansov-posrednik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Financial intermediaries<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> according to the new <\/span><b>Urban Development Fund 2021\u20132027 (FGR) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fininfo.bg\/en\/dictionary\/finansov-instrument\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<strong>financial instrument<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>,<\/strong> which will be implemented through three regional funds \u2013 FGR North 1, FGR North 2 and FGR South.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>FGRE North 1<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u0438 <\/span><b>FGRI South<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> They will be managed by the private limited company \u201eFund for Sustainable Cities\u201c with the participation of UBB and the FLAG Fund, and <\/span><b>FGRE North 2<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 by the Consortium \u201eFund for Green and Smart Urban Development\u201c with the participation of UniCredit Bulbank and Nord West Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The resource is provided through the \u201eDevelopment of Regions\u201c Program 2021-2027 and the \u201eCompetitiveness and Innovation in Enterprises\u201c Program 2021-2027. Depending on the specific sector and the funding program, the eligible candidates may include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">municipalities and other public organizations;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fininfo.bg\/en\/dictionary\/msp-malki-i-sredni-predpriyatiya-na-an\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>,<\/strong> as well <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">larger companies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">public-private partnerships;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">universities, colleges and organizations managing student dormitories;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">schools, kindergartens and nurseries;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">health care institutions and providers of social services;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">non-profit associations, cultural organizations and institutions of the religious denominations \u2013 for projects in tourism, culture and sports.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #224467;\"><b>What can be financed<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Investments in various types of urban, public and business infrastructure will be supported, for example:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">construction and renovation of business buildings, industrial zones and parks;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">energy renovation of residential and public buildings, including heating, air conditioning, renewable energy sources and charging stations;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">public transport, clean vehicles, cycling and pedestrian infrastructure, and intelligent transport solutions;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">parks, green areas, public spaces and road safety measures;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kindergartens, schools, universities and other educational equipment;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hospitals, medical equipment, mobile clinics and social services;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cultural, tourist and sports facilities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">investments by enterprises in new and existing industrial parks and in their vicinity.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #224467;\"><b>Credit plus grant \u2013 when is it possible<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The support will be provided mainly in the form of long-term investment loans.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For some projects, the loan can also be combined with grant assistance. For FGR Sever 1 and FGR South, it can reach up to 40% for certain investments, with the specific amount depending on the type of project and the applicable rules.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #224467;\"><b>When the funds start<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of September 2026, applications with project proposals are not yet open. The main funding terms have already been published for FGR North 1 and FGR South, but the specific invitations and documents for submitting projects are yet to be
